How High 2 rolls up a premiere date, Mike Epps to reprise Baby Powder role

If there were a Stoner Comedy Hall of Fame, Jesse Dylan's 2001 comedy HOW HIGH would assuredly be inducted alongside other classics like FRIDAY, Cheech and Chong's UP IN SMOKE, HALF-BAKED, and Richard Linklater's DAZED AND CONFUSED. For those of you who enjoy indulging in a little game of 'Puff-Puff-Pass' around the Method Man and Redman starrer, you'll likely be stoked to hear that Mike Epps plans on reprising his role as Baby Powder for the MTV movie sequel HOW HIGH 2. The music-related network has also announced that they've set a Saturday, April 20th premiere date for the film, which of course coincides with International Weed Day. MTV also released a first-look at the opening of the show, which you can watch for yourself below:

Upon taking his place in the Round-robin, Epps will join Lil Yachty, D.C. Young Fly, Alyssa Goss, DeRay Davis and Mary Lynn Rajskub, with special appearances from Blac Youngsta, NeNe Leakes, Cynthia Bailey, Lil Baby, and Justine Skye for the highly-anticipated sequel.

Penned by FAMILY GUY alum Shawn Ries and Artie Johann, Alex Blagg, and Neel Shah, HOW HIGH 2 chronicles two young “potrepreneurs” on a magical hash-fueled journey to fund their on-demand munchies delivery start-up. Lil Yachty stars as Roger, one of the business-savvy blunt slayers. Standing alongside Roger as his pungent bud-loving partner is his best friend Calvin, as played by D.C. Young Fly. LAST WEEK TONIGHT alum Bruce Leddy is directing, with plans for the film to take place on the mean streets of Atlanta, Georgia. Word has it that the film will include a stone-groove-worthy soundtrack, featuring some of today's hottest hip-hop artists, as well as the tracks “Forever Young” by Lil Yachty featuring Diplo, “Stir Fry” by Migos and “100 Miles & Running” by Logic featuring Wale & John Lindahl.

For a time, Epps was reticent on not returning to the franchise, thankfully today's report indicates that he's had a change of heart. In short, Baby Powder lives again! Be sure to place an order with your dealer of choice for when HOW HIGH 2 arrives on MTV this April.
