It wasn't too long ago that Hugh Jackman said that he hoped to play Wolverine until he died, but if a new photo he posted on his Instagram is any indication…his time as Wolverine may be nearing its end sooner rather than later.
In regards to which film could end up being his last outing as Wolverine, it's assumed that WOLVERINE 3 will be the one to send Hugh Jackman off in a blaze of glory. That film won't start shooting until next year as Jackman is busy filming EDDIE THE EAGLE and WOLVERINE 3 director James Mangold is prepping THE DEEP BLUE GOOD-BY.
It's not yet confirmed whether Hugh Jackman will be making an appearance in X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, but seeing as how Jackman has appeared in every X-Men film to date…it'd be mighty strange if he didn't at least make a cameo. Could that be what he's strapping the claws on in this photo for? An appearance in DEADPOOL also isn't out of the question as it's something Jackman has said he was open to in the past. Personally, I'd like to think he just puts the claws on at home and stands in front of the mirror posing. I mean…that's what I'd do.
