Hugh Jackman teases Wolverine 3 will follow the Old Man Logan storyline

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Hugh Jackman has confirmed that WOLVERINE 3 will be his final outing as the popular X-Men character, but he didn't disappoint fans in attendance at San Diego Comic Con. In addition to confirming a cameo in Bryan Singer's X-MEN: APOCALYPSE, Jackman also gave fans a tease of what the plot of WOLVERINE 3 may be.

With an image of himself as Wolverine with a single claw exposed and flipping off the audience, Jackman revealed this.

"I've got three words for you guys: Old Man Logan," the actor said definitively. "As I promised, this next time is my last time putting on the claws, it's one last time."

The Old Man Logan comic was written by KICK-ASS and KINGSMAN scribe Mark Millar and features Wolverine fifty years in the future. The comic relies heavily on Hulk, Red Skull, and other characters controlled by Marvel Studios, but I am sure they could find a way to make it work. Hell, with James Mangold returning, I have high hopes for this.

Stay tuned for more details from the 20th Century Fox panel thanks to our on site team at Comic Con. WOLVERINE 3 hits theaters on March 3, 2017.
