Hysteria trailer offers Maggie Gyllenhaal, British people and the invention of the vibrator

JoBloJoBlo

HYSTERIA is a “cheeky romantic comedy about the invention of the vibrator.” And while that description sinks in…

If you’ve wondered how Maggie Gyllenhaal has kept busy since her explosive exit in THE DARK KNIGHT and her time with Bad Blake, it turns out she’s been receiving stimulation from Victorian-era doctors who clearly required a surprising amount of safety equipment to treat the titular “condition”.

The movie, which premieres at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival, also stars Jonathan Pryce, Hugh Dancy, Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones, plus numerous gasping women in frilly costumes. Witness the amusing path to arousal in the trailer below.
