I am a very angry boy. My friends and I have been counting down the days until HARI PUTTAR: A COMEDY OF TERRORS is released into theaters but alas, it is not to be. The lords of Warner Bros. for some odd reason are convinced that this highly anticipated film’s title is far too similar to their somewhat successful Harry Potter franchise, and have consequently decided to sue Mumbai-based production company Mirchi Movies, the geniuses behind the Hari Puttar series.
case is currently being heard in the Bombay high court, with Hari Puttar slated for a September 12th release. Frankly, it would be a crying shame if this film’s release was prevented, as I know you and me both have been waiting director Rajesh Baraj’s latest like the coming of the Messiah. Thankfully, the film’s stars Jackie Shroff, Saurabh Shukla and Sarika have a lot more films on the go so we know their families will eat tonight. Let us all sleep easy.
