I see aliens! Haley Joel Osment to guest star in The X-Files revival series

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Haley Joel Osment (and his righteous, burly beard) has recently signed on to guest star in the forthcoming revival of THE X-FILES, which is scheduled for a 2018 premiere on Fox. While no clues as to who Osment will play have been released at this time, we do know that THE SIXTH SENSE then child star will be featured as a key player in the "Skinner"-centric (played by series regular Mitch Pileggi) episode teased at New York Comic-Con.

The multi-award-winning X-FILES property revolves around the bizarre happenings put upon agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson), as they investigate unsolved cases of a paranormal variety. In addition to the franchise's initial nine-season-run, multiple films, novels, video games and more have assured that the X-FILES brand has remained an important part of pop culture since the show's 1993 debut.

Series creator Chris Carter will return as executive producer, writer and director for the new revival series, with stars David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi, and William B. Davis each reprising their roles for the weird and wonderful series. In addition to Osment, guest stars Annabeth Gish, Robbie Amell, Lauren Ambrose and Barbara Hershey will each play a part in the telling of a new story for the X-FILES mythos when the show returns in January of 2018.
