Idris Elba and Olga Kurylenko have tested positive for COVID-19

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Along with the news that Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, and Kristofer Hivju are among the celebrities who have tested positive for COVID-19, it has been revealed that Idris Elba and Olga Kurylenko have contracted the Coronavirus as well.

Elba, known for his roles in The Wire, the THOR films, GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE, THE DARK TOWER, FAST & FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBS & SHAW, and Luther, took to his Twitter account to share a video in which he revealed that he has COVID-19, but hasn't yet experienced any symptoms.

Kurylenko is one of my favorite Bond girls; her credits include QUANTUM OF SOLACE, Neil Marshall's CENTURION, the Tom Cruise sci-fi film OBLIVION,  the Pierce Brosnan action film THE NOVEMBER MAN, the Bond spoof JOHNNY ENGLISH STRIKES AGAIN, the video game adaptations HITMAN and MAX PAYNE, and the horror film MARA.

She revealed on her Instagram account that she tested positive for the Coronavirus, saying she has been struggling with fever and fatigue for a week. She was tested for the virus after being taken to the hospital with a temperature of 102. Like Elba, she is now self-isolating at home.

We wish Elba, Kurylenko, Hanks, Wilson, Hivju, and everyone else dealing with COVID-19 around the world a quick recovery.

Thank you to everyone who has sent me well wishes, I’m overwhelmed with everyone’s kindness. I wanted to take this opportunity to answer the most common questions that I’ve been asked regarding Coronavirus. Why I’m not in hospital? Because hospitals are full and they are only taking patients that are struggling with life, if I understand correctly. I was told that if I get worse to call an ambulance. Where I got tested? In the hospital when an ambulance took me there after I called because my fever was over 39. How did I get tested? They took a swab from my throat. Where did I get coronavirus? Impossible to know. It could be anywhere. I could have touched a taxi handle and gotten it from there. It’s on surfaces! For a week my temperature was stable 38. Sometimes up to 38.5. Today it’s come down ???? ??????? ???? ?? ????????? ? ?? ?????? ?????!!! ??? ?????? ?? ????????? ?? ????? ????????: ?????? ? ?? ? ????????? ??????, ??? ???????? ??????????? ? ???????? ?????? ????? ??????? ??????? ? ??????. ??? ??????? ??? ???? ?????? ???? ?????? ????? ? ??????. ??? ??? ??????? ????? ? ???????? ???? ???? ???????? ?????? ? ???????????? ???? 39. ??? ??????? ????? ????? ????? ? ?????. ??? ? ?????????? ?????????????? ?????????? ?????, ??? ??? ??? ????? ???? ??? ??????! ?? ?? ????????????. ? ????? ??????? ????? ????? ? ??????? ??? ? ??????? ?????. ?????? ??? ??????????? ???? 38-38,5. ??????? ??? ??????????? ???? #Coronavirus #???????????p #StaySafe
