A couple months ago, we heard that Kew Media was presenting director Roxy Shih's dramatic thriller PAINKILLERS to potential buyers at the European Film Market, and now a batch of images from the film have arrived online to give us the first look at this story about a blood-drinking surgeon.

PAINKILLERS stars Adam Huss, Debra Wilson, Grant Bowler, Madeline Zima, and Mischa Barton, and all of those actors can be seen the images below (and in the one above).

Scripted by Giles Daoust, the film has the following synopsis:

After a terrible car crash in which his son dies, brilliant surgeon John Clarke (Huss), tormented by guilt, becomes prey to an unbearable physical pain. While his marriage starts disintegrating, John soon finds out that the only thing that can ease his pain is the taste of human blood. When he encounters Herb Morris (Bowler), a man who claims he can help him get his life back, John embarks upon a nightmarish journey through which he will either have to come to terms with his pain… or become a monster.

Daoust produced PAINKILLERS for Title Media alongside Luke Barnett and Vincent Masciale of Lone Suspect. Mike Macari, Alain Berliner, and Catherine Dumonceaux served as executive producers.

We're waiting to hear distribution details for this film, but it did just make its international premiere at the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival last week.
