Int: The D Train’s Kathryn Hahn & Directors Andrew Mogel & Jarrad Paul!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Kathryn Hahn is an incredibly funny and talented actress. And in her latest, THE D TRAIN where she stars opposite Jack Black, she brings a strong sense of reality to her take on the wife dealing with a husband and his own personal crisis. It is a terrific performance. As good as she is in the film, she is just as amazing in person. Sitting down with Ms. Hahn, we discussed the typical wife role and why this is different from the norm. And since we are talking high school reunions, she chatted about her own feelings in regards to returning to old stomping grounds. Aside from her wonderful work in THE D TRAIN, you can also catch her on the new Showtime series Happy-ish.

After speaking to the lovely Ms. Hahn, I sat down with the writer/directors of the new film. Both Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel have managed to create a very funny movie with some very dark themes. During our discussion, the two filmmakers talked about the inspiration behind the story as well as the casting. They talked about creating a dramatic film that is heightened to bring humor to what could have easily been a serious film. It is a fine balance and they managed to pull it off nicely. If you'd like a break from the typical popcorn flick, you should definitely check out THE D TRAIN, opening this Friday at a theatre near you.
