Long before he became Mr. Madonna, Guy Ritchie found success in the UK film industry by writing and directing British gangster flicks, LOCK STOCK AND TWO SMOKING BARRELS and SNATCH. He took a detour by directing his wife in SWEPT AWAY and although his next film isn’t so much gangster, it is a criminal mind twister. Reteaming with good friend Jason Statham, Ritchie’s REVOLVER also stars gangsters Ray Liotta, Vincent Pastore and singer Andre (3000) Benjamin.
I had the pleasure of meeting the sweet, polite, and adorable Ritchie as he revealed what to expect of the film, on reuniting with Statham, and the possibility of working with the wife on another film. Although previously released in the UK in 2005, REVOLVER hits US theatres this Friday, Dec. 7th. Check out what the pleasant Brit had to say.
