On November 23rd, Fox Searchlight Pictures will release HITCHCOCK, the love story about one of the most influential filmmakers of the last century, Alfred Hitchcock and his wife and partner Alma Reville. The film takes place during the making of Hitchcock’s seminal movie PSYCHO.

Helming a movie about arguably the greatest director of all time would be no easy feat for anyone. For Sacha Gervasi, a screenwriter who only has one credit as director – the documentary ANVIL – under his belt, the challenge must have been even more daunting. Yet as you’ll see in the interview below, Gervasi has such an affable, likable demeanor that it’s easy to believe nothing would faze the man. I would normally say that we talk at length about the film in question, but to be perfectly honest, Gervasi does most of the talking. All I had to do was sit back and enjoy; he is quite an entertaining presence.
