Interview: Jamie Lee Curtis Talks Everything Everywhere All at Once

Jamie Lee Curtis is quite the legend. She had a brilliant introduction to audiences as Laurie Strode in Halloween way back in 1978. And her work in comedies such as Knives Out and A Fish Called Wanda is inspired. Yet what she does in the new film Everything Everywhere All at Once is like nothing we’ve ever seen. The new feature directed by The Daniels stars the legendary Michelle Yeoh, as well as James Hong, Ke Huy Quan, and Stephanie Hsu. And yes, Jamie is stunning here, and her on-screen adventures opposite Ms. Yeoh are absolutely delightful. Not only is this a performance you’ve never seen from Ms. Curtis, but the movie is completely original and fresh. And it opens wide this Friday.

We recently spoke to the cast members and the filmmakers behind this unique adventure. And originally, we were supposed to speak to both Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh in one sitting. However, Zoom had other plans and removed the amazing Michelle Yeoh from the discussion – you can find her full solo interview below. For Jamie however, she opened up about taking on this unusual kind of role. She chatted about working with all those that helped create the character, from the directors themselves to the inspired costume design. And since Michelle had dropped off, Jamie wanted to answer a question for Ms. Yeoh as well. So that was a treat. Go see Everything Everywhere All at Once because it’s wild, refreshingly innovative, emotional, and kind of beautiful.
