INT: Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman

I must admit that I’m one of those people who gets easily spooked by horror flicks. So naturally, when Arrow in the Head asked me to take one for the team, I accepted with somewhat fear and reluctance. Little did I know what I was in for! Writer Bryan Bertino makes an impressive directorial debut with the upcoming terrifying suspense thriller THE STRANGERS, in which Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman star as Kristen McKay and James Hoyt.

Set in the Hoyt family vacation home, the story is based on a young couple that becomes relentlessly terrorized by three random strangers in the middle of the night. Unlike the usual horror gorefests, THE STRANGERS is realistically haunting and psychologically frightening. And as if the torturous suspense, unabating pursuit and chilling anticipation wasn’t enough to keep me hanging on the edge of my seat, jumping out of my skin and peeking through my fingers, the film opens with a fear inducing “based on true events” which kept subliminally flashing through my mind. Tyler and Speedman illustrate a natural onscreen chemistry, making it even more painful and heartbreaking to witness the horrendous events taking place that night. A longtime fan of both actors, I was excited to meet and chat with the super sweet and good-looking duo. Check out what they had to say about THE STRANGERS and get taste of the fear on May 30th.
