If you walk into a room and Tom Hardy, Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine are sitting together watching you enter, it is beyond surreal. Hardy is one of the best actors working in film today, Witherspoon has had a succession of audience friendly rom-coms, and Chris Pine is freakin’ Captain Kirk. Needless to say it was a strange feeling. And there they were, all ready to talk about their latest action romantic comedy THIS MEANS WAR.
Honestly, as cool as it was sitting across from the film’s stars, there was a very quiet energy in the room. Mr. Pine was about to be pulled away early due to scheduling, and the three actors were definitely spent. Sitting in the same room all day together, answering a ton of questions can be a challenging task. However, they were good sports about it and very friendly. Mr. Hardy even offered an extremely nice comment as I left the room. But before that, they talked about the film and who could kick whose ass if Pine and Hardy ever got into it… I’m guessing Hardy could do some damage. THIS MEANS WAR opens on Valentine’s Day at a theatre near you.
