Interviews: John Krasinski, Michael Kelly & director Andrew Bernstein talk about the scale of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War

Tom Clancy’s novels have been best-sellers for decades, continuing long after the author’s death. After the brilliant The Hunt for Red October introduced Jack Ryan to the big screen, Harrison Ford became the benchmark for the role in Patriot Games and Clear & Present Danger. With two failed reboots led by Ben Affleck and Chris, Jack Ryan returned as a Prime Video series led by John Krasinski. After four seasons, Tom Clancy’s world returns to the big screen with Jack Ryan: Ghost War.

Picking up after the conclusion of the series, Jack Ryan: Ghost War follows John Krasinski as the CIA analyst returns to the field in support of James Greer (Wendell Pierce). A former ally of Greer’s is resurrecting a terrorist plot that can only be mitigated by Ryan’s return to the field alongside Mike November (Michael Kelly) and a new colleague from MI-6 played by Sienna Miller.

I spoke with the stars and director ofJack Ryan: Ghost War about the new feature film. Director Andrew Bernstein discussed the transition from series to movies and reflected on the logistical challenges of filming in London and Dubai. John Krasinski discussed writing the screenplay for this movie and whether we might see Jack Ryan become President in future sequels. Michael Kelly talked about the fun of playing Mike November this time around and of being part of this universe. Check out the full interviews in the embed above.

Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan: Ghost War premieres on May 20th on Prime Video.
