Into the Dark: Pooka Lives trailer is what happens when memes get murderous

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

A new trailer for INTO THE DARK's April episode, titled "Pooka Lives," marks the return of the murderous meme made internet famous by the horror anthology series. The upcoming episode is of course a sequel to the Nacho Vigalondo-directed Christmas-themed episode "Pooka," only this time the follow-up frightfest will be directed by JUAN OF THE DEAD's Alejandro Brugués.

Set for an April 3 release, "Pooka Lives" shows what happens when a group of friends from high school launch their own Pooka-themed internet challenge that ultimately results in murder and mayhem. You see, once the challenge goes viral, multiple versions of Pooka are conjured into the real world, and just like that, the bodies start hitting the floor.

The cast of "Pooka Lives" includes Felicia Day (DR. HORRIBLE'S SING-A-LONG BLOG), Wil Wheaton (TOY SOLDIERS), Malcom Barrett (TIMELESS), Rachel Bloom (CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND) Jonah Ray (MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000), Lyndie Greenwood (THE EXPANSE) and Gavin Stenhouse (BLACK MIRROR).

INTO THE DARK's "Pooka Lives" episode will air on April 3, 2020.
