With premieres of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON popping up in select locations between now and May 1st, it's going to be hard to avoid spoilers given that some people don't know how to keep quiet. No, I'm not a bitter Game of Thrones viewer who's been burned before, but I digress. We have a new clip of some sweet Iron Man vs Ultron action, as well as some spoilery bits about the upcoming film. They're not complete spoilers, but they allude to enough in my opinion, so I'll save those for after the video in case you're looking to avoid them. The clip is worth checking out though, if only to see more of the personality that James Spader lends the titular Ultron.

If you're still reading, you're looking for a little bit more information on the film, and I'm happy to toss it your way. This comes courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, of which I'll truncate the information into bullet points. They didn't flat out reveal any spoilers, but they hint at quite a few things of which you can read below. Some are obvious and some you might not have thought of.

  • No major Marvel characters are introduced.
  • Linda Cardellini plays an integral character that is NOT a superhero.
  • The woman in the cave in the second trailer is NOT in the movie.
  • Black Panther is not in AGE OF ULTRON but his foe, Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis), is.
  • There is another revelation left to learn about Loki's staff.
  • Someone dies.

The above definitely piques my interest, but I'm patient enough to wait the two weeks to see what AGE OF ULTRON has to reveal. Besides, while the story of any film is a great experience the first time through, it's how well that story's told that determines repeat viewings. Something tells me I'll be making a few trips to the theater for AGE OF ULTRON. At least, before MAD MAX makes its way to the big screen.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON opens on May 1st.
