Aaron Eckhart has gone rogue in ERASED, a globe-trotting spy thriller that looks like a combination of THE BOURNE IDENTITY and movies where Liam Neeson beats the hell out of people like TAKEN and UNKNOWN. Eckhart might be filling Neeson’s shoes here, as a man who goes on the run with his daughter after his former employers at the CIA target him for assassination. Yes, the government is once again being jerky like that.

One of these days we’ll get a movie where the covert government conspiracy is just a surprise birthday party!

Directed by German music video helmer Philipp Stoelzl, ERASED goes like this:

When ex-CIA agent Ben Logan discovers that he and his daughter have been marked for termination as part of a wide-reaching international conspiracy, a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse ensues as Logan tries to outsmart his hunters and uncover the truth.

The film also stars the luscious Olga Kurylenko in the Joan Allen role, as well as Liana Liberato, Neil Napier and Alexander Fehling. It opens here in the states on MAY 10th; it opened internationally last fall.
