Jack Huston confirmed to star in Corin Hardy’s The Crow remake

The Crow Corin Hardy Jack Huston

A few weeks ago we learned that James Huston was being considered for the lead in Corin Hardy's THE CROW remake, and according James O’Barr (creator of The Crow graphic novel), the Boardwalk Empire star has joined the film. While speaking with Dread Central, O'Barr said "Jack Huston has definitely been cast,” and says he is “really happy with that choice."

O'Barr also went on to say he believes the movie “will shoot in a couple of months" and that it will be a more pure adaptation of his comic compared to the 1994 film starring Brandon Lee, which is similar to what Luke Evans said about the project a couple of months ago when he was still attached to star as The Crow.

Evans on the remake:

We just want to be as authentic and loyal to the original comic and that means the story will be different. It will be different [from] what people are expecting. It's not about ripping off the Brandon Lee movie. That stands alone as a piece of brilliant cult film and a great performance. But we're going back to the book, the original book and that's exciting because we're bringing to the screen a lot of parts of the story that were never really told. It's our chance to do it differently, but as loyal and respectful of the original storyline as we possible can.

How do you think Corin Hardy will do behind the camera for remake, and what are your thoughts on Jack Huston playing the lead?

Jack Huston can be seen next in THE LONGEST RIDE on April 10, 2015.
