Jack Sparrow will set sail aboard a new ship in Pirates of the Caribbean 5

Avast, me hearties! Grab yourself a bottle of rum and gather about, for I have a tale to tell ye! Word has traveled on the high seas and into my water-logged ears that Disney has indeed teased the details of Jack Sparrow’s latest misadventure for the upcoming PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES. Here be the particulars:

Johnny Depp returns to the big screen as the iconic, swashbuckling anti-hero Jack Sparrow in the all-new “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” The rip-roaring adventure finds down-on-his-luck Captain Jack feeling the winds of ill-fortune blowing strongly his way when deadly ghost sailors, led by the terrifying Captain Salazer (Javier Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle bent on killing every pirate at sea – notably Jack. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it he must forge an uneasy alliance with Carina Smyth (Kaya Scodelario), a brilliant and beautiful astronomer, and Henry (Benton Thwaites), a headstrong young sailor in the Royal Navy. At the helm of the Dying Gull, his pitifully small and shabby ship, Captain Jack seeks not only to reverse his recent spate of ill fortune, but to save his very life from the most formidable and malicious foe he has never faced.

Yarg! That Jack Sparrow sure does fancy himself a bit of a daredevil, eh? He’s always up to some manner of trickery or involving others in his sordid affairs. I’ll bet my peg leg and all the booze left in my ship’s hold that he’ll discover a way to elude his captures, yet again, and live to set sail another day. Aye, though, he and his crew had best hold on to hope if they think that the Dying Gull will be sea-worthy enough to withstand the might of Captain Salazar and his band of thieves, drunkards, and scallywags.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES will be directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg, and will star Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, Kaya Scodelario, and Benton Thwaites. Prepare yourself for adventure, poppets, for the film sets sail on May 26, 2017.
