This seems like an odd time to report on Janet Jackson casting news all things considered, but life does go on, and by life I mean movie news. Jackson is set to reprise her role as a successful author and psychologist in Tyler Perry’s WHY DID I GET MARRIED TOO, the sequel to his wildly successful WHY DID I GET MARRIED. The first film, which Perry’s fans (I know you’re out there) widely consider his best, saw Jackson as a shrink so focussed on the relationships of others, that she has a bad habit of ignoring her own. That’s exactly why my ex-girlfriend left me. Well that and my addiction to cheating on her.
As for Janet; with all the hoopla, and tributes, and pundits chiming in on Michael’s death, it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that although we all lost an icon–Janet lost her brother, and man, that’s just sad.
