The first trailer for The Guilty has arrived online and the Antoine Fuqua-directed Netflix film looks like one teen experience with star Jake Gyllenhaal at the center of it all.

Per the official logline from Netflix, “The film takes place over the course of a single morning in a 911 dispatch call center. Call operator Joe Baylor (Gyllenhaal) tries to save a caller in grave danger—but he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems, and facing the truth is the only way out.” The film also stars Ethan Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard, Riley Keough, Paul Dano, and Byron Bowers.

Written by True Detective series creator Nic Pizzolatto, The Guilty is based in Gustav Moller’s acclaimed Danish drama Den Skyldige. Our very own Chris Bumbray will be checking out the film this weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival ahead of the film’s launch on Netflix.
