Safe travels, Mr. Burrows
Sometimes, we don’t realize how important someone is to our television history until they’re gone. While I’ve only seen a handful of episodes of Burrows’ most notable projects, I can feel his style and vibes resonating throughout them. I know people who swear by the genius of shows like Cheers, Taxi, and Frasier. I also grew up in a house where Taxi was constantly on. It was the first place I met some of my all-time favorite actors, like Danny DeVito and Christopher Lloyd. It takes a lot of skill and patience to rein in personalities like that. Burrows must have been a stone.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Burrows, and thanks for all the laughs.
