Paramount+ has released the first official teaser trailer for Dexter: Resurrection season 2, which finds Dexter caught between two killers while dealing with an unexpected enemy: a mid-life crisis.
Dexter: Resurrection season 2 will premiere on Friday, October 30, 2026, just in time for Halloween and the Dexter franchise’s 20th anniversary.
Hall is back as Dexter Morgan, and the new season once again puts the character in the middle of a deadly game in New York. This time, however, he’s dealing with two killers on opposite ends of their careers.
According to Paramount+, season 2 finds Dexter caught between caught between two killers — one with decades of notoriety and a lifetime of kills behind him, and the other a fresh young face terrorizing New York in ways no one has ever seen. Meanwhile, Dexter battles a new and unexpected enemy: a mid-life crisis. Harrison continues his own pursuit of justice as father and son face their darkest chapter yet.
After the events of Dexter: Resurrection season 1, the new season has plenty of unfinished business to address. But with multiple killers entering Dexter’s orbit (again), it sounds like his biggest problem may be figuring out which one to deal with first.
Who Is in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2?
Hall returns as Dexter Morgan, with Jack Alcott back as his son, Harrison. The returning cast also includes Uma Thurman, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Desmond Harrington, and James Remar.
Season 2 is also adding several major names to the Dexter universe. Dan Stevens, Bokeem Woodbine, Nona Parker Johnson, and Brian Cox have joined the series as regular cast members. Krysten Ritter will return in a guest-starring role, while Gabriel Luna is also joining the season as a guest star.
Cox is playing the New York Ripper, a notorious serial killer with decades of killings behind him. Stevens plays Owen Stark, also known as the Five Borough Killer, while Luna plays Ray Ballard, the Sleepy-Eyed Stranger. With that many killers running around New York, Dexter Morgan is going to have his work cut out for him.

Dexter: Resurrection comes from Emmy-nominated showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, who returns for the second season alongside Michael C. Hall and executive producers Scott Reynolds, Marcos Siega, Tony Hernandez, and Lilly Burns. The series comes from Paramount Television Studios and Counterpart Studios.
