James Cromwell takes a role in the Jurassic World sequel

No details were shared on the character he'll be playing, but Universal has announced that veteran actor James Cromwell, who has almost 200 acting credits to his name, has been cast in director J.A. Bayona's sequel to JURASSIC WORLD.

Unfortunately, chances aren't high that Cromwell will be reprising his role from the BABE films in JURASSIC WORLD 2 (as we'll call it for now), even though BABE was a Universal release. Just imagine Farmer Hoggett bringing home a docile dinosaur to live on his farm with the rest of his talking animals.

As mentioned, Cromwell has been in a hell of a lot more than just BABE and BABE: PIG IN THE CITY. Among his credits are appearances on '70s sitcoms like All in the Family and Three's Company, every film in the REVENGE OF THE NERDS franchise, STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT, SPECIES II, THE GREEN MILE, the 2004 version of Salem's Lot, SPIDER-MAN 3, 24, and American Horror Story. The list goes on and on.

Cromwell's JURASSIC WORLD 2 co-stars will include Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Daniella Pineda, Toby Jones, Rafe Spall, Justice Smith, and Ted Levine.

With a script by the JURASSIC WORLD team of Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, JURASSIC WORLD 2 is expected to start filming soon for a June 22, 2018 release.
