James Franco has been tappedto star in 11/22/63, a limited series made for Hulu. The show is based on Stephen King’s bestseller about a teacher who goes back in time to attempt to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
The 9-hour “event series” is being produced by J.J. Abrams and penned by Bridget Carpenter. No word on who’s directing yet.
Here’s the novel’s official synopsis:

Truth be told, I still haven’t read this book, one of the few of King’s that I haven’t delved into. Perhaps it’s that lengthy page count – 880 pages. I guess I’ll have to change that soon.
