Captain America: Civil War James Gunn Banner

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR isn't due out until May of next year, but during a live Q&A on his Facebook, James Gunn revealed that he's already seen the film. The GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY director is very pleased with how it turned out, calling it "incredible" and "one of the best Marvel movies ever." Gunn also said directors Anthony and Joe Russo did an "awesome" job with their CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER follow-up, and described Tom Holland's performance as Spider-Man/Peter Parker as "off the charts awesome" and "amazing."

I know some of you are probably thinking to yourselves, "Of course Gunn is going to say Civil War is fantastic, he works for Marvel!" but he isn't known for bullshitting fans, and I get the feeling that the director just wouldn't say anything about the film if it wasn't good. Do Gunn’s comments make you even more pumped to see the upcoming Marvel movie?

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR is set to open on May 6, 2016.
