It’s been three years since James Wan’s last film, the gritty, nasty revenge number DEATH SENTENCE was released, but the filmmaker is once again stepping behind the camera with INSIDIOUS, which we last told you about HERE. But is it even called INSIDIOUS anymore? According to Production Weekly, it’s now going under the name THE ASTRAL.

That’s not all. Production Weekly also tweets that Rose Byrne (28 WEEKS LATER; pictured below) and Patrick Wilson (WATCHMEN; pictured right) have come aboard the film, which is shooting in L.A. right now.

Here’s the synopsis for THE ASTRAL/INSIDIOUS: A young family makes the terrifying discovery that the body of their comatose boy has become a magnet for malevolent entities, while his consciousness lies trapped in the dark and insidious realm known as The Further.

Wan’s SAW co-writer Leigh Whannell helped pen this one as well; Oren Peli (PARANORMAL ACTIVITY) is producing, alongside Jason Blum and Steven Schneider.
