Jamie Foxx has yet again posted an update, expressing his gratitude to family, friends and followers as he continues to recover following what he has called “an unexpected dark journey.”

Posting on Instagram this week, Jamie Foxx wrote, in part: “You’re lookin at a man who is thankful… finally startin’ to feel like myself… it’s been an unexpected dark journey… but I can see the light… I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well-wishes and prayers… I have a lot of people to thank… u just don’t know how much it meant.” He added hashtags such as #imbackandimbetter and #nobaddays.

This post comes four months after a “medical complication” put Jamie Foxx in the hospital and took him off of Back in Action, the movie that was nearly done filming when the undisclosed incident occurred. Despite some brief controversy in which some comments of his were misconstrued as anti-Semitic, Jamie Foxx has been on the rebound in a major way — and we’re not just talking pickleball. Jamie Foxx would end up undergoing rehab, fight off nonsense rumors related to his hospitalization and eventually emerge in public. The Oscar-winning actor finally made his first statement to social media followers just last month.

Still, through his social media accounts, Jamie Foxx has continued to promote various products and projects, including Netflix’s They Clone Tyrone (which he missed the premiere of), Brown Sugar Bourbon (which Foxx bought two years ago) and more. His new movie, the R-rated comedy Strays – in which he voices a Boston Terrier opposite Will Ferrell’s Border Terrier – opened on August 18th and will go against DCEU’s Blue Beetle at the box office.

In addition to these already-released movies, Jamie Foxx has quite a bit on his plate, with real-life legal drama The Burial, actioner Tin Soldier and the aforementioned Back in Action all slated for release. He will also co-host an upcoming game show with daughter Corinne called We Are Family.
