While one could call it a type, I like to call it a niche that Jason Statham has found for himself in movies. The dude has pretty much become the cheeky-action go to guy, in this country and his native England. Fine by me, the dude does his thing and does it well. Which is exactly why I have nary a problem with relaying a quick clip from his new serial killer thriller BLITZ, courtesy of Empire Online!
In the clip, watch Statham showcase that brutish charm of his in a pub, where he looks about as interested in meeting an associate as a root canal patient. Dude makes me laugh without even really trying.
Directed by Elliot Lester, from a script adapted from Ken Bruen’s novel by Nathan Parker – BLITZ follows a tough cop (Statham) is dispatched to take down a serial killer who has been targeting police officers.
Paddy Considine, Aidan Gillen, Luke Evans, David Morrisey, Zawe Ashton, Elly Fairman and Richard Riddell all lend support.
