Rarely is the hairstyle an actor will be sporting in a new movie of particular interest around here, and especially not worth making an article for, but when the actor is Jessica Chastain and she's taking on the role of Beverly Marsh in IT: CHAPTER 2, I know there are fans who are going to want to see how her hair looks. This is a character who has had a poem written about her hair by an admirer ("Your hair is winter fire, January embers. My heart burns there, too."), so it's important.

So here we are. With IT: CHAPTER 2 having officially started production yesterday, Chastain's hairstylist Renato Campora shared some images of the chin-length layered bob he gave Chastain's red hair as she gets into character as Beverly.

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a screenplay by Gary Dauberman, the Stephen King adaptation IT: CHAPTER 2 is set twenty-seven years after the events of the first IT, which only covered half of King's book. The first film told the following story:

A group of young kids faces their biggest fears when they seek answers to the disappearance of children in their hometown of Derry, Maine. They square off against an evil clown named Pennywise, whose history of murder and violence dates back for centuries.

In the sequel, those kids have a rematch with Pennywise (Bill Skarsgård) as adults. In addition to Chastain as Beverly, the cast includes James McAvoy as Bill, Bill Hader as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike, James Ransone as Eddie, Jay Ryan as Ben, and Andy Bean as Stanley.

Beverly was played by Sophia Lillis in the first film (pictured above).

IT: CHAPTER 2 is scheduled to reach theatres on September 6, 2019.
