Jim Carrey exits SNL Joe Biden Role

Well, alllllrighty then! It appears that Jim Carrey is through playing the president-elect on Saturday Night Live. The comedic genius announced on his Twitter feed recently that he would be stepping down from his role of Joe Biden on the series. Here's how he posted:

Though my term was only meant to be 6 weeks,I was thrilled to be elected as your SNL President…comedy’s highest call of duty. I would love to go forward knowing that Biden was the victor because I nailed that shit. But I am just one in a long line of proud, fighting SNL Bidens!

And there you have it. I mean, I thought the former In Living Color star did a great job as "Sleepy Joe". Maybe he did only sign on for six episodes? Maybe his ego got in the way?
