WE ARE NO LONGER TAKING SUBMISSIONS. YEAH THAT WAS FAST, I KNOW. THE RESPONSE WAS WAY BIGGER THAN ANTICIPATED. SO NOW WE'RE GOING THROUGH THIS FIRST BATCH OF SHORTS. WE MAY RE-OPEN SUBMISSIONS DOWN THE ROAD. THANKS TO ALL WHO APPLIED!
One of the first videos we hosted on our younger YouTube channel JOBLO HORROR VIDEOS (which focuses on original horror video content) was a finer than red wine short horror film. As a filmmaker myself, I know how hard it is to get eyeballs on a short once done with the Festival circuit and now that I run this channel, I figured I'd give an opportunity to all of you horror filmmakers out there who may want to see their genre short have more legs.
All that to stab; you have a top notch quality horror short film that's ideally no older than 5 years old (we'll look at Sci-Fi, some Action if grisly and Thrillers too)? You own the rights? The music is copyright free (or you own it)? And you want it to be hosted on JoBlo Horror Videos and pushed via a story on Arrow in the Head? Shoot us an E-MAIL HERE. Write HORROR SHORT in the subject header, make sure to include info on your short (synopsis, date of original release etc.) and of course a screener and we'll take it from there! Not every short will be chosen of course – but you don't get if you don't try.
