Jodie Whittaker makes things go timey-wimey in Doctor Who Season 11 tease

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

During yesterday's World Cup march, the BBC debuted its first teaser for the upcoming 11th season of DOCTOR WHO featuring Jodie Whittaker (ATTACK THE BLOCK) as the new time-traveling tactician. Like previous teases for the appraoching season, we're only able to catch a glimpse of Whittaker's character at the very end of the promo, but that's more than enough for some of us overly-excited Whovians. As the first woman to play the part, Whittaker will take over the role for Peter Capaldi, who starred as the electric guitar-wielding Doctor from 2014 to 2017. When Whittaker arrives on the scene, BROADCHURCH creator Chris Chibnall will take over as the showrunner of DOCTOR WHO for Steven Moffat, who'd been guiding the show for a number of years before the unprecidented (and much needed) changing of the guard.

Be sure to tune in when DOCTOR WHO makes history this October, with Whittaker assuming the starring role.
