Television funnyman Joel McHale (“Community”, “The Soup”) is the latest to be cast in next year’s Anna Faris R-rated comedy WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER?

The film, based on the book by Karyn Bosnak, focuses on “a woman (Faris) who treks through her sexual past to find Mr. Right, exploring the idea of sexual quotas and whether such numbers matter.”

According to THR, McHale will play Faris’s “mildly charming boss, whom she accidentally sleeps with, causing her to begin a wild goose chase to find the one that got away.”

WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER? is beginning to boast quite a cast. McHale joins not only Anna Faris but the recently cast Andy Samberg and Zachary Quinto, as well as Captain America himself Chris Evans.

McHale was last on the big screen in Steven Soderbergh’s very excellent (and underrated) THE INFORMANT! He’s currently part of the great ensemble cast on NBC’s “Community” – one of the best comedies on TV right now – which recently got picked up for a second season.

WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER? is set to open sometime next year.
