Word comes from Bloody Disgusting that Cusack is getting in touch with his dark side in JACK, which has an irresistible premise with a potentially fascinating lead character. The script has been bumping around for quite a while, but it’s ready to take off now, with genre pro Brad Anderson sitting in the director’s chair and now a big name attached.

The flick is about a doctor who falls for a patient suffering from memory loss, completely unaware of the victim’s violent history as a methodical serial killer. As his memories being to surface, Jack begins to piece together the fragments of his past and realizes his true identity.

Good stuff. With production to begin this August, all we need now is a smart-sexy female to go opposite Cusack. Maybe Anderson’s TRANSSIBERIAN star Emily Mortimer (pictured below)?
