John Wick: Chapter 4, Lance Reddick, Keanu Reeves

Over the course of the previous three films, the John Wick franchise has built up quite the ensemble of character to populate its world of assassins, and with John Wick: Chapter 4 now in production, we'll be seeing many of those recurring characters once again. Deadline has reported that Lance Reddick has just closed a deal to return as Charon, the mysterious and highly skilled concierge of the Continental Hotel.

In a statement, director Chad Stahelski said, "Lance has been part of the franchise since the very beginning and has had an integral role in shaping the world of John Wick. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with him again." John Wick: Chapter 4 is currently in production and will be shooting on location in France, German, and Japan. In addition to Keanu Reeves, who will of course be handing out head-shots as John Wick, the sequel is also set to star Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's Donnie Yen, Stowaway's Shamier Anderson, Japanese-British pop superstar Rina Sawayama, It's Bill Skarsgård, and Mortal Kombat's Hiroyuki Sanada. It was also revealed last week that Scott Adkins (Doctor Strange) is in talks to join the gang, which is quite exciting.

Lance Reddick isn't the only familiar face set to return for John Wick: Chapter 4, as Laurence Fishburne will also be back to reprise his role of The Bowery King. The actor teased earlier this month that the script is "really, really cool" as it goes much deeper than the prior films. "It's much deeper in terms of the code of the assassin and the relationship that he has with one character in particular," Fishburne said. Lance Reddick recently appeared in Godzilla vs. Kong, and is set to play Albert Wesker in Netflix's upcoming live-action Resident Evil TV series. John Wick: Chapter 4 is slated to hit theaters on May 27, 2022.
