All About the Game

The game will combine the “unparalleled, adrenaline-fueled ‘gun-fu’ fighting style” of John Wick, with “Saber’s proven reputation for creating thrilling gaming experiences that leave players craving more.

As for when the story will take place, it will be set “years before the Impossible Task. It will expand on the franchise’s lore during that time with familiar characters fans already know and love, as well as compelling new ones created specifically for this production.

In a statement, Jenefer Brown, President of Global Products & Experiences at Lionsgate, said, “I can’t wait for fans to step into the shoes of John Wick and explore the multi-dimensional world of The High Table. We are collaborating closely with Saber’s dedicated team to develop a game that captures the unparalleled action, brand-defining fight choreography, immersive world-building, and authenticity of the films.

Matthew Karch, CEO at Saber Interactive, added, “John Wick is one of the most iconic characters in action film history. Saber is honored to be working alongside Chad, Keanu and the Lionsgate team in a true collaboration to bring the world of Wick to life in a AAA game.

What’s Next for the Film Franchise

Although John Wick: Chapter 4 seemingly brought the story of the legendary assassin to an end, the lucrative franchise will continue. Ana de Armas starred in Ballerina, the first spin-off movie, and Lionsgate has announced plans for John Wick: Chapter 5, an animated prequel, and a spin-off featuring Donnie Yen as Caine, the blind character from the fourth movie.
