Last year Tom Cruise dropped out of the spy thriller EDWIN A. SALT and producers moved quickly to find their replacement. Funny thing is their replacement was a woman. Angelina Jolie quickly entered in negotiations to star in the film, while writers quickly worked to adapt the script for a female leading role. Besides the most obvious change, the film is now simply titled SALT, producer Lorenzo diBonaventura says they were forced to “rethink the whole notion of how a man vs. a woman operates in the business world, in personal relationship and in friendships.”
Filming began on SALT yesterday and USA Today has a pretty interesting article on the production as well as two shots of Jolie in character as Evelyn A. Salt. Check out the pics below!
