With just a few months to go until the release of SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY, it appears as though we can add another member to its galactic cast, and it's someone whose quite well known in the Disney family – Jon Favreau. The IRON MAN director, who is currently in the midst of directing THE LION KING, posted a photo on Twitter earlier this month of himself with SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY director Ron Howard and co-writer Lawrence Kasdan.

Why were they all together? At the time, it was a mystery, but today, Ron Howard spilled the beans on just why Jon Favreau was hanging out with the pair, revealing that Favreau will be "voicing a very cool & important alien character."
Wondering why we r all together? @Jon_Favreau is voicing a very cool & important alien character for #HanSolo Flattered & fortunate I could pull him away from his #LionKing directing duties https://t.co/W5N7YoAlq6

The STAR WARS franchise is no stranger to celebrity cameos, especially in the latest movies, which include Simon Pegg, Daniel Craig, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and more, so Jon Favreau's inclusion isn't all that surprising, particularly as he's had such a long association with Disney.
SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY will hit theaters on May 25, 2018.
