Jones a Hungry Rabbit

So I’ve been a fan of January Jones since I saw her back in the teen sex-romp AMERICAN WEDDING back in ’03. Two years later she popped up in a criminally overlooked Tommy Lee Jones flick (starred, directed) called THE THREE BURIALS OF MELQUIADAS ESTRADA. And since then, I’ve kept my eyes on the peel for the cute-as-a-button South Dakota native.

So it comes with extra enthusiasm when we report that Jones, star of TVs “Mad Men,” has just been added to the cast of the Nic Cage starring dramatic thriller HUNGRY RABBIT JUMPS (Variety).

A thin plotline for the movie is as follows:

A thriller centering on a man (Cage) who becomes embroiled in an underground vigilante organization after his wife (Jones) is the victim of a heinous crime.

Produced by Endgame Entertainment, HUNGRY RABBIT JUMPS will be directed by Roger Donaldson, a man who’s seen his share of hits and misfires (think COCKTAIL, WHITE SANDS, to THE WORLD’S FASTEST INDIAN & THE BANK JOB).

Originally slated as a Tobey Maguire vehicle in 2008, the SPIDER-MAN star still retains producing credit on the $30 million project.

The flick looks to roll film in the Big Easy in, when else, January.
