Many of you have been waiting for this for awhile now, and thanks to the fine folks over at Blue Underground, it’s finally happening. Joseph Zito’s 1981 classic THE PROWLER is coming to Blu-ray this summer, so if you’re think you’re safe you’re wrong… dead wrong!
Slasher fans rejoice as the Tom Savini-effects driven slasher movie goes to high definition on July 27 in a uncut, uncensored, unrated version of the film. If you’ve seen THE PROWLER before, you ain’t seen nothing yet until you you’ve seen it in high definition!
Much like the DVD release a few years back, the Blu-ray will be rockin’ the following special features:
Not a bad line-up… not a bad line-up at all. You can check out the cover below, which thankfully kept the original theatrical poster art, as well as the same art used for the DVD release. It’s such a striking image, and one that screams awesome that I’m glad they didn’t try to update it for the teeny boppy audience. Not that they would… I’m just saying I’m glad they didn’t.
So mark your calendar for July 27, 2010, when THE PROWLER comes home in Blu-ray high definition!
