It seems that THE AVENGERS is doing well at the box office. That’s mildly putting it. Passing $1 billion worldwide is kind of a big deal. So when you know you’ll be called upon to direct the sequel– do you do it?
What say you Joss Whedon? This is what he told Hero Complex, “You know, I’m very torn.It’s an enormous amount of work telling what is ultimately somebody else’s story, even though I feel like I did get to put myself into it. But at the same time, I have a bunch of ideas, and they all seem really cool.”

How can you pass this up? I am really hoping he decides to take it when it’s offered.
I hate to even ask this, but if he doesn’t decide to helm the second installment, who would you get to direct the sequel?
