Joss Whedon’s The Cabin in the Woods to be a creature feature?

It’s been known for over a year that Joss Whedon is reinforcing his upcoming horror film THE CABIN IN THE WOODS with all kinds of subterfuge and red-herrings. Last year dude flat out admitted to leaking false information as way to build a set of expectations, only to yank the damn rug out from all of us when bringing those expectations into the theater. So this next bit of news should be treated with nothing less than a raised eyebrow. You see, actress Amy Acker popped up at WonderCon this past weekend and dropped a few interesting deets about the flick. Scope it…

Despite the simple logline of “A twisted and unusual take on the familiar cabin in the woods story” as our only reference point for what the film’s about, Acker told SciFi Wire that:’ “There’s a lot of scary monsters. It’s a scary movie.”
