You might want to think about planning your JUSTICE LEAGUE viewing party during the first weekend in February, because Warner Bros. has announced that Zack Snyder's divisive DC superhero adventure will arrive digitally on January 30th. The listing for JUSTICE LEAGUE was recently added to the iTunes store where those looking to experience the film before its physical home release can pre-oder it for $19.99.
Prior to the film's wide release, JUSTICE LEAGUE was met with a series of mixed reviews from critics and fans alike. As a result, the ensemble superhero flick has become something of a disappointment for the WB, and is projected to earn a total gross of around $675 million. While that might sound like plenty of money to some, it's scarcely higher than MAN OF STEEL'S $668 million. By all accounts, the WB was really hoping that JUSTICE LEAGUE would perform like gangbusters, and possibly restore the faith of those who've yet to be entertained by the DCEU.
Personally, I thought the movie was okay. I'd love to be able to say that it blew me away – like the guy in the Maxell commercials – but it didn't. With that being said, I'm really looking forward to watching it again when the digital copy goes live at the end of the month.
