Kate Beckinsale searches for her missing husband in trailer for The Widow

Amazon Prime Video have released the official trailer for THE WIDOW, an eight-episode thriller series which stars Kate Beckinsale as Georgia Wells, a woman on the hunt for answers surrounding her husband's mysterious death and subsequent disappearance. The upcoming series has been written and executive produced by Harry and Jack Williams, the siblings behind one of my favourite anthology drama series – The Missing. If The Widow can match that series, then I'd say we're all in for quite the treat.

Following the death of her husband, Georgia has cut herself off from her old life and is no longer the woman she once was, but after seeing her "late" husband on the news, she' s pulled back to face the world and will stop at nothing until she gets the truth about her past. Described as an emotional, gut-wrenching thriller, The Widow will take Georgia into the depths of the African Congo where danger and revelation will greet her at every turn.

The Widow will be released on Amazon Prime Video on March 1, 2019.
