Kate Siegel to star in Hypnotic for The Open House directors and Netflix

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Having seen Kate Siegel in the Netflix horror projects Hush, Gerald's Game, The Haunting of Hill House, and The Haunting of Bly Manor, I'm excited to hear that she has signed on to star in another horror movie for the streaming service. Even if her husband Mike Flanagan isn't involved with this one like he was with the projects named above.

Siegel's next Netflix horror movie is Hypnotic, which is set to be directed by Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote. Angel and Coote previously directed the Netflix release The Open House.

Angel and Coote are also writing Hypnotic with Richard D'Ovidio, whose credits include the 2001 version of Thirteen Ghosts and the Halle Berry thriller The Call. The story they're crafting together centers on

a young woman seeking self-improvement, who enlists the help of a renowned hypnotist. But after a handful of intense sessions, she soon discovers unexpected and deadly consequences.

Siegel is being joined in the cast by Jason O'Mara and Dulé Hill.

The Long Game's Michael Luisi is producing the film, while Hemisphere Entertainment's Ralph Portillo serves as executive producer.

Netflix did not say when they intend to release Hypnotic, but we'll keep a close eye on this one as it moves forward.
