With mere days to go until the release of JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2 and the generous reviews already pouring in (including one from our own Chris Bumbray), there's more than a good chance that we'll see Keanu Reeves don Wicks' stylish attire once again.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Reeves was asked whether he'd be up for returning for a third installment of the JOHN WICK franchise. Rather unsurprisingly, Reeves said that he'd "absolutely" be happy to return as he quite loves both the character and the world he inhabits. Reeves added that whether or not he gets the chance will really be up to audiences. "If they enjoy what we did — and hopefully they do, fingers-crossed, I really dig it — but if they do enjoy it, then I’ll have the chance to continue the story of the character and the world." I doubt Reeves needed to cross those fingers, but when JOHN WICK 3 does materialize, he told IGN that he already has an idea of where it could go.
I think we need to go to Jerusalem. I think we need to keep going, open up [the world]. I see some scene with John in the desert, just doing some wacky thing.
Assuming the story and action continues to be up to snuff, I've certainly got no problem with more JOHN WICK movies as it'd be great fun to see Keanu Reeves exploring various locations around the globe and handing out head-shots like popcorn. JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2 will finally debut on February 10th and I'm sure that many of us will soon be anxiously waiting in line.
