In case you were wondering what Keira Knightley has been up to with her American accent lately, apparently it's hanging out with her friends Sam Rockwell and Chloe Moretz. At least, that's what she would rather do than face her pseduo-fiance.

Take a look:

The synopsis is as follows:

Having spent her twenties comfortably inert, 28 year old Megan (Keira Knightley) reaches a crisis when she finds herself squarely in adulthood with no career prospects, no particular motivation to pursue any and no one to relate to, including her high school boyfriend (Mark Webber). When he proposes, Megan panics and given an opportunity to escape – at least temporarily – she hides out in the home of her new friend, 16-year-old Annika (Chloe Moretz) and Annika's world-weary single dad (Sam Rockwell).

I'm not familiar with Lynn Shelton's work (YOUR SISTER'S SISTER, HUMPDAY) but I hope it's more interesting than what I see in this trailer. From the looks of things, this is as by the numbers as it gets, and I'm actually quite surprised that three great actors would take part in a story like this unless there's something else to it. Regardless, Ms. Knightley remains as charming as ever, so I may give this a spin when it hits Blu-ray.

LEGGIES, starring Keira Knightley, Sam Rockwell, and Chloe Moretz, will be released on October 24, 2014.
