Well, we can all envy Rodrigo Gudino for achieving such a coup, as Harvey Keitel has signed on along with Mads Mikkelsen (BLEEDER, EXIT) and Roy Dupuis (BLEEDER, THE TIMEKEEPER) to play a part in a horror-western entitled CUT THROATS NINE.
CUT THROATS NINE, a remake of the 1972 Spanish/Italian western CONDENADOS A VIVIR:
Follows a wagonload of convicts as they travel the northern mountains to carry out their death sentences. Following a surprise attack from a gang of bandits, only the sergeant, his beautiful young daughter and seven of the most sadistic, murderous men alive survive the assault.

I love all things horror-western, an under-utilized subgenre infinitely rife with potential. I seriously can’t wait to see The Bad Lieutenant getting sicko-psychotic in the European mountains. How about you?
CUT THROATS NINE is a Rue Morgue Cinema production in association with Someone At The Door Productions.
Filming looks to commence in Toronto by early January.
